Chatbot in a week: Stater

Stater is the largest mortgage service provider in the Netherlands. They want to serve their clients in the most efficient way possible. With so many clients in their database, this poses a challenge. A more efficient service desk could be a solution to this problem. They’ve asked us to help them set up a ‘Chatbot in a Week’.

‘Chatbot in a Week’ was created to help clients identify areas of their business to which a chatbot would be most beneficial. In five days we collaboratively worked with Stater on a chatbot prototype to solve one of their business cases. At the end of the week, we presented them with a working chatbot prototype giving them and their end-users the full chatbot experience.

Eesysoft

Going to university is often one of the most exciting and rewarding times in a person’s life. However, it’s often accompanied by quite a bit of stress. Things like signing up for exams, and checking your results online often cause a lot of uncertainty. Especially when it’s outside of office hours and there seems to be nobody you can ask questions.

A chatbot can take away some of this uncertainty, by allowing students to ask questions any time of the day. Furthermore, a chatbot can also relieve the workload of service desk employees. We helped Eesysoft in this pursuit by aiding in the development of the chatbot that is used on University platforms like BlackBoard and Canvas.

Boliden

Starting a new job is always exciting, so much stuff is thrown at you that sometimes you can not see the forest for the trees. How do I log in to my email? How do I set up a video call? How do I change my password? Sure, you could walk up to the IT-department and ask them. However, this is all very time-consuming, they don’t always have time to see you, and don’t always the right answer at the ready. It would be so much easier to talk to someone (something) that can help you instantly. Your answer with just a few keystrokes.

We set out to fix this issue with Boliden. How can we improve the onboarding of new employees without them having to go through pages and pages of onboarding documents? Answers to your questions, that’s the key, not answers to everything.

We developed a chatbot that can do just that: answer the necessary questions. It uses natural language processing to discern what the employee wants to know. The chatbot provides the employees with a modern and effective working environment so that they can focus on the real work instead of administrative menial tasks.

Garden Chatbot

Just imagine how amazing it would be if your plants would tell you when they need water or a bit more fertilizer. We were contacted by a well-known brand for gardening equipment to create a chatbot that can do just this.

The chatbot takes its place in a digital ecosystem of garden sensors. It’s also connected to weather APIs to predict rain and temperature. Users can talk to the digital garden assistant using Facebook messenger and can ask them any questions related to their garden. Your plants will thank you.

The Future is…

With chatbots becoming more and more prevalent, people are starting to get used to them. In the future, chatbots will become common practice for any customer service desk. They can take the load off customer service employees and ensure that they can focus on the activities that really matter.
